Patented Enhanced Tubular Construction

Tubular construction is a specialized artisan technique in which each individual shoe is handcrafted from a single section of leather, without side seams. The vamp (or plug) is then hand sewn to the upper creating the “tube effect.” Our patented Enhanced Tubular Construction is characterized by the elimination of a hard shank, and the insertion of a soft cushioned insole between the leather lining and the outsole, providing more flexibility and an extremely comfortable fit. This enhancement greatly reduces the impact stress when walking and insulates the foot from cold and humidity. This exclusive Galo loafer is handmade in Italy utilizing this patented Enhanced Tubular Construction process.
